2.ConnectingtheRouter
Note:Priortoconnectingtherouter,besuretopoweroffyourcomputer,DSL/Cable
modem,andtherouter.Youshouldsetuptherouterwithawiredconnectionfirstbefore
attemptingtosetupanywirelessconnections.
Step 1 Connectoneendofanetworkcable to the WAN portoftherouterandconnect
theotherendofthecable to theDSL/Cablemodem.
Step 2 Withanothernetworkcable,connectoneendof thecable toyourcomputer s
networkcardandconnecttheotherend tooneofthe LAN(Ethernet) portsoftherouter.
Step 3 PowerontheDSL/Cablemodemandwait for thelightsonthemodemtosettle
down.
Step 4 Powerontherouterbyconnectingoneendofthesuppliedpoweradaptertothe
powerjackof therouterandconnecting theotherend toanelectricaloutlet.
Step 5 Poweronyourcomputer.
Step 6 Makesurethe WAN, WLAN,andthe LAN portsthatthecomputerisconnected
toarelit.Ifnot, trytheabovestepsagain.
