7.Troubleshooting

Ifyouhave troubleconnectingtothe Internet,try thefollowingsteps.

Step 1 PowerofftheCable/DSLmodem,router,andcomputerandwait for 5minutes.

Step2Turnon theCable/DSLmodemandwait for thelightsonthemodemtosettle

down.

Step 3 Turnon therouterandwaitforthelightsontherouter tosettledown.

Step 4 Turnon thecomputer.

Step 5 Reconfiguretherouterasdescribedin Section 3.

Step 6 Login totherouterandselect the Status tab.

Step 7 Verifythatthe IPAddress, DefaultGateway,andatleastoneofthe DNS fields

havevalidnumbersassignedtothem(insteadofall 0 s).

Ifeach fieldhasavalidnumberassigned,therouterisconnectedtotheInternet.
