2, 4 - 9,
A, b
The LTC input carries a date as described for the corresponding numbers at sub-
menu SET - ... - USER MOD (2 = 2 DATE, 4 = 4 BBC, etc.). Selection b = b OFF
works same way as selection 4 = 4 BBC, i.e. no offset will be calculated. RT-LTC
can be selected independent from a selection at USER MOD.
There is no status available from the LTC input, so the status is set as described for
RT-LTC selection 0 or 1.
3 The LTC input carries date and status information according to the specification of
USER MOD = 3 STATUS (sub-menu SET - ... - USER MOD).
The flashing of the LED mod. indicates, that the time information has passed the checks and
that a valid date has been detected in the binary groups of the LTC (if RT-LTC is not equal to 0
or 1).
7.4.3 Examples
In general the following settings are recommended at sub-menu REFERENCE:
REFER - MODE 1: Power-On (Digit 8) = 1
Auto (Digit 7) = 2
REFER - ... - MODE 2: Lock (Digit 6) = b
Example 1: Gain a local time with a fixed offset to the reference time
The LTC input carries a time (e.g. UTC) without Daylight Saving Time (DST) switching, and a
date conforming to the specification of GM-TTT USER MOD = 2 DATE or = 3 STATUS. The
LTC output should have a local time, again without DST switching.
At sub-menu REFER - MODE 1: Mode (Digit 6) = 0,
RT-LTC (Digit 4) = 2.
At sub-menu ZONE - OFFS 1: select time offset: reference time + offset = local time.
Example 2: Gain a local time with DST switching
The LTC input carries a time (e.g. UTC) without Daylight Saving Time (DST) switching, and a
date conforming to the specification of GM-TTT USER MOD = 2 DATE or = 3 STATUS. The
LTC output should have a local time with DST switching.
At sub-menu REFER - MODE 1: Mode (Digit 6) = u,
RT-LTC (Digit 4) = 2.
At menu ZONE: select all settings to program the offsets and the moment of DST switching,
please refer to the manual. Example for input UTC, output CET/CEST:
OFFS 1: +1
OFFS 2: +2
DST on: 5 7 03 02
DST off: 5 7 10 03
