10.4 Analog Phones
To connect an analog phone to the server:
1. Plug the phone into one of the server FXS phone ports reserved for Inside Phone
Extensions.
2. Lift the phone receiver so that the phone is off hook, and refresh the browser
window. The phone displays in the Analog Handsets section of the page.
3. Hang up the phone receiver.
10.5 Test the Phones
Some suggested steps for verifying that a phone is set up correctly:
Dial 400

for Auto Attendant.
Enter ‘#7’. The Auto Attendant plays back the phone configuration information.
Hang up. The phone rings back.
If any of these steps fail, check:
Physical wiring between phone and server.
Network settings.
Phone and server configuration.
Note:
Analog phones plugged into Port Expander FXS ports do not automatically display on the
Handsets page, add manually.
1. Extensions may vary per system. If using a non-default Internal Dial Plan, consult the Phone
Functions tab of the My Allworx Manager page to determine the extensions in use for the corresponding
feature.
