TurboStack Series Hubs

Controllers All three of the TurboStack Slave hubs use an ATI proprietary multiple
port repeater controller to retime and regenerate signals and
communicate with the network management software. The port status for
each of the ports is indicated by an LED display.
Hubs with
Management
For any of these three hubs to be manageable, another hub with
management must perform as a Master in the chassis. Table 2 lists the
TurboStack hubs that can function as Master.

Rules
Depending on the medium you choose, there are certain wiring practices
you should follow to ensure the reliability of communication throughout
the network. TurboStack hubs comply with IEEE standards for 802.3
Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detection (CSMA/CD)
Ethernet; you should refer to these standards when implementing your
network. Some important guidelines for ensuring integrity in network
wiring appear in later chapters and the appendices of this manual.
