Caution: If you change the routers IP address to an address that is not in the
same IP subnetwork as the PC, then they will no longer be able to communicate
with each other. Not only will the router not be able to route data to and from
the subnetwork that the PC is in, the PC will no longer be able to use the web
configuration tool on the router to change its configuration. Should this
happen, the only way to for the PC to get access to the routers configuration is
to change its own Ethernet IP address so that it is in the same IP subnetwork
as the router, and then reboot.
1. To change the configuration of the router’s Ethernet LAN connection, click
on the Ethernet LAN Connection
Modify
button in the “Update
Configuration page” on page 94. The “Ethernet LAN Connection page” on
page 104 opens.

2. If necessary, enable the router’s DHCP server, or disable the DHCP server
and change the router’s Ethernet IP address or mask.
3. Click the OK button to save these changes and return to the “Update
Configuration page” on page 94.
To return to the “Update Configuration page” on page 94 without saving
any changes to the inter-office connection configuration, click the
Cancel
button.
