Explanation The level of alarm depends on the number of downstream interfaces
affected. (More than 128=Critical, 25 to 128=Major, Less than
24=Minor)
Action Perform the following:
1. Restore the failed uplinks.
2. Restore any failed service modules.
Alarms The following components are affected:
Component Status Alarm
• Shelf N/A Critical
• Shelf N/A Major
• Shelf N/A Minor
Note: More than 128 downstream ports are impacted by card faults, and/or there is
no uplink available.
2.30.2 VLAN has no NETWORK facing interface
Message Shelf Failure Raised\nReason:
Severity Major
Explanation This alarm is raised when a vlan is in UFO mode and there is no
upstream interface for whatever reason: no upstream interface is
configured, the upstream interface is down, EPSR/STP/UCP could not
find an upstream to use. The alarm will be cleared when: the vlan
is changed to STD mode, or an upstream interface is found (config-
ured, link comes up, or EPSR/STP/UCP finds an upstream to use).
Action Perform the following:
1. Change the VLAN to non-UFO or ensure (configure) an upstream
link.
