Explanation A falling alarm is generated when a Remote Monitoring (RMON) sta-
tistic crosses below a user provisioned threshold during a speci-
fied period of time. The message contains the index of the ethernet
interface affected, the specific statistic involved, the type of
sample used (Change vs. Absolute), the current value of the statis-
tic, and the provisioned threshold. The message is an alert to a
user to indicate the presence or potential for problems on a spe-
cific interface. Since the threshold values are user defined, the
message is considered informational.
