Log Reference for SBx3100 and iMAP Series Switches (Allied Telesis Product Logs with
Traps)
1. Input SHOW SYSTEM COOLING to see which components have had a temperature
change and the status of the FM4.
2. Check the affected component and replace if necessary.
3. If multiple components are showing a temperature change, check the FM and replace if
necessary.
Alarms The following components are affected:
Component Status Alarm
• FM4 Degraded Major
2.10.5 No Communication
Message Fan Module Failure Raised
Severity Critical
Explanation The control module cannot communicate with the fan module. The fans
may or may not be operating. If the fans are not operating a shelf
high temperature alarm may also be raised.
Action Perform the following:
1. If the condition doesn't clear then the fan module is probably defective and should be
replaced.
Alarms The following components are affected:

• FAN8 Failed Major
• FM4 Failed Major
• FM7 Failed Major

2.11.1 Not Applicable
Message MC count at High Threshold mark
Severity Major
Explanation The number of IGMP Reports that have been received on one Service
Module is coming close to the provisioned slot's group limit
(GRPLIMIT).
Action Perform the following:
1. Verify traffic engineering for this card.
