2.3.9 Heartbeat Lost

Message Card Failure Raised

Severity Minor

Explanation The card failed a routine heartbeat check, where the control module

attempts to verify message communication with the card. The problem

could be due to high traffic running through the card that exceeds

it's processing and messaging capacity. The problem could also be

due to a software exception in the card.

Action Perform the following:

1. Disable the card and enable card.

2. Replace card if necessary. For simplex systems, replace the card.

3. For duplex systems, swap activity, then replace the faulty card.

4. If the problem is still not resolved, contact Allied Telesis Support.
