2.7 PSU001 - atnPSUFaultRaised
2.7.1 PSU Card Not Present
Message PSU Failure Raised
Severity Major
Explanation One of the PSU units is not present in the shelf. The shelf can con-
tinue to function but there is no backup if the remaining unit
fails.
Action Perform the following:
1. Replace the PSU.
Alarms The following components are affected:
Component Status Alarm
• PSU Failed Major
2.7.2 PSU General Fault
Message PSU Failure Raised
Severity Major
Explanation This is a generic PSU Fault alarm that has the same severity and
state impact as the other PSU alarms, and covers alarms not
reported by the other PSU alarms, usually Fan Failure. The action
like other PSU faults is to replace the card or place the PSU in the
correct slot.
Action Perform the following:
1. Replace the card or place the PSU in the correct slot.

• PSU Failed Major
2.7.3 PSU Hardware Not Recognized
Message PSU Failure Raised
Severity Major
Explanation A PoE PSU is already installed in one PoE PSU slot and a System PSU
has been installed in the other PoE PSU slot. (A No Communication
log is also output.)
