Alarms The following components are affected:

• E1 Port Failed Major

Message Port Fault Set
Severity Major
Explanation The physical interface is failed because it received a Remote Alarm
Indication from its remote peer. RAI is sent from remote peer when
it detects that it has lost the incoming signal.
Action Perform the following:

Severity Major
Explanation This failing alarm is the result of the OLT failing to transmit on
the EPON, and is triggered by hardware inputs from transceiver. The
transmitted output does not input as reported by the EPON optics.
This alarm may indicate a problem with the EPON card or the SFP con-
necting with the fiber.
Action Perform the following:
