2.29.11 Loss of RTP Receive Stream
Message Port Fault Set
Severity Minor
Explanation The POTS card has detected that it is not receiving RTP packets as
expected for the interface. The RTP packets have been interrupted
or are not being sent from the call agent.
Action Perform the following:
1. Check for an external network condition (failure or capacity).
2. If no problem is found with the external network or call agent, disable/enable the
interface.
Alarms The following components are affected:

• POTS Port Degraded Minor
2.29.12 Loss of RTP Transmit Stream
Message Port Fault Set
Severity Minor
Explanation The POTS card has detected that it is not transmitting RTP packets
as expected for the interface. The problem is most likely due to an
internal resource error on the POTS card.
Action Perform the following:
1. Disable/enable the interface.

2.29.13 Receiving AIS
Message Port Fault Set
Severity Major
Explanation The physical interface has detected an Alarm Indication Signal from
the remote peer as per ANSI T1.231. AIS is generated by the remote
peer when it detects a LOS defect, or when it has been placed in
maintenance state. A common cause of this alarm is when the remote
peer has been administratively disabled. For more information see
ANSI T1.403-1999 Annex J.
