Severity Info
Explanation This degrading alarm is reported by the OLT (represented by the
EPON interface) on behalf of the ONU. The alarm is raised per log-
ical link on the ONU, and indicates that the OAM layer running on
the OLT is not receiving periodic messages from its peer on the
ONU. This alarm is usually the result of mis-configuration of the
EPON bandwidth, causing insufficient bandwidth for normal OAM com-
munication. The QOS policy configuration limits enforced by the
iMAP CLI should prevent this alarm from occurring due to mis-con-
figuration. Therefore, the presence of this alarm should be rare.
Action Perform the following:
1. Disable/enable the ONU.
2. Disable/enable the EPON interface.
3. Disable/enable the EPON card.
4. Power reset the ONU.
5. Replace the ONU.
6. Replace the EPON card.
