Explanation The PPP/MLPPP protocol periodically checks its integrity by using
echo requests, where it sends a message to the peer and expects the
peer to reply. Consistent failure to receive the echo reply within
a given time period will cause the interface to fail with this
alarm. The echo request timeout value is configurable and can be
changed using the SET INTERFACE command if desired.

Explanation The PPP/MLPPP protocol has detected a loopback condition using its
echo request mechanism. Since it is not communicating with the
peer, the interface is failed with this alarm.

Explanation The interface has timed out in its attempt to negotiate link param-
eters with its peer. More debugging information can be obtained by
getting event logs, using the ADD TRACE and SHOW TRACE commands.
