Explanation All of the parent PPPs that are associated with the MLPPP are not
available, and so all traffic on the MLPPP (a combining of two to
eight DS1s/E1s) cannot be passed.
Action Perform the following:
1. Check the status of the NTE8 card, DS1 interfaces, and the PPPs.

Explanation The interface failed to configure. This could be due to high traf-
fic through the card, a problem with provisioning associated with
the interface, or could be due to running an incompatible software
release in the associated card. For the DS3, a DS3 SFP is present,
but could not be configured for some reason. The DS3 interface will
be failed. The state of the associated GE interface depends on
whatever configuration is already present on the DS3 SFP.
Action Perform the following:
1. Verify traffic capacity.
2. Verify load preferences.
3. Verify provisioning.
