2.14.32 Inconsistent Flooding
Message Card Failure Raised
Severity Info
Explanation When IGMP is enabled on an EPON interface, unknown Multicast is
blocked. The EPON interface will not flood any unknown multicast on
any VLAN, except 256 “well known” groups. This behavior is unlike
other IGMP supporting interfaces on the iMAP. Since the FLOODUN-
KNOWN attribute is a system setting, there is nothing to prevent
the user from having a setting that is inconsistent with an EPON2
card. When the setting is inconsistent an “Inconsistent Flooding”
degrading alarm is present on the card. If the user changes the
setting to be inconsistent, the alarm provides immediate feedback
that the setting is inconsistent with the card type.
Action Perform the following:
1. To clear this alarm, change the FLOODUNKNOWN attribute setting to OFF (which
is the default).

2.14.33 Card Disable Failed
Message Card Failure Raised
Severity Info
Explanation No response from an attempt to disable the card. With POTS, the
disable is supposed to terminate the call processing entity on the
card. This is usually caused by communication errors with the call
server. Note that the user can restart the card while it’s disabled
to ensure that all functions on the card are terminated.
Action Perform the following:
