How to get command help
How to get command help
The following kinds of command help are available:
lists of valid parameters with brief descriptions (the ? key)
completion of keywords (the Tab key)
error messages for incomplete or incorrect syntax
To get syntax help, type ? after:
the prompt, to list all commands available in the
mode you are in
one or more parameters, to list parameters that
can come next in the partial command
one or more letters of a parameter, to list
matching parameters
Example To see which commands are available in User Exec mode, enter “?” at the User Exec mode
command prompt:
awplus>?
This results in the following output:
View a list of valid parameters
Tip:
The AlliedWare Plus OS only displays
one screenful of text at a time, with the
prompt “--More--” at the end of each
screenful. Press the space bar to
display the next screenful or the Q key
to return to the command prompt.
Exec commands:
clear Reset functions
disable Turn off privileged mode command
echo Echo a string
enable Turn on privileged mode command
exit End current mode and down to previous mode
help Description of the interactive help system
logout Exit from the EXEC
mstat Show statistics after multiple multicast traceroutes
mtrace Trace multicast path from source to destination
ping Send echo messages
quit Exit current mode and down to previous mode
remote-command Remote stack member command execution
show Show running system information
ssh Open an SSH connection
telnet Open a telnet connection
terminal Set terminal line parameters
traceroute Trace route to destination
