❑ Downloading new software does not interrupt the flow of traffic
through the multiplexer.
❑ The transfer protocol must be XModem or 1K XModem.
❑ The download password does not apply to upgrading the
management software through the RS-232 port.
❑ Downloading a new version of the management software does
not change the current settings on the management module.
Example
To download new software onto the management module, you enter:
load
After you have entered the command, the management software
displays a confirmation prompt followed by another prompt instructing
you to begin the file transfer. To begin the transfer, use your terminal
emulation program to specify the location of the AT-S47 software image
file stored on your workstation. For an example of how to perform the
transfer using the Hilgreave HyperTerminal program, refer to steps 5
through 8 in Using XModem to Upgrade the Management Software
on page 72.
