SHOW GBIC MODULE
Syntax
show gbic module=number|all
Parameter
module Specifies the GBIC port number whose status
information you want to view. The number can be
from 1 to 8. You can specify more than one port at
a time. You can specify the ports individually (e.g.,
2,3,5), as a range (e.g., 6-8), or both (e.g., 2,4,6-8).
To view all ports, use ALL.
Description
This command is used to display a variety of information on the GBIC
modules in the GBIC slots of the multiplexer. The type of information
that you can display includes:
Type of serial transceiver
SONET and Gigabit Ethernet compliance codes
Fiber channel link length, transmitter type, media type, and speed
Encoding
Normal baud rate
Distance
Transmit disable status
Laser fault status
Signal detect
Upper and lower baud rate margin
Examples
The following command displays the above information on the GBIC
module in Ch3:
show gbic module=3
