SHOW GBIC MODULE
Syntax
show gbic module=number|all
Parameter
module Specifies the GBIC port number whose status
information you want to view. The number can be
from 1 to 8. You can specify more than one port at
a time. You can specify the ports individually (e.g.,
2,3,5), as a range (e.g., 6-8), or both (e.g., 2,4,6-8).
To view all ports, use ALL.
Description
This command is used to display a variety of information on the GBIC
modules in the GBIC slots of the multiplexer. The type of information
that you can display includes:
❑ Type of serial transceiver
❑ SONET and Gigabit Ethernet compliance codes
❑ Fiber channel link length, transmitter type, media type, and speed
❑ Encoding
❑ Normal baud rate
❑ Distance
❑ Transmit disable status
❑ Laser fault status
❑ Signal detect
❑ Upper and lower baud rate margin
Examples
The following command displays the above information on the GBIC
module in Ch3:
show gbic module=3
