SET MODULE NAME
Syntax
set module=number name=name
Parameter
module Specifies the number of the port or module in the
multiplexer you wish to assign a name to. The
module numbers are shown in the table below:
You can specify only one port or module at a time.
name Specifies the new name for the port or module.
The name must be enclosed in quotes (“ “) and can
be up to 20 alphanumeric characters in length.
Spaces are allowed. To delete a previously
assigned name without assigning a new name,
enter a space as the name.
Description
This command is used to assign a name to a port or module in the
multiplexer.
Example
The following command assigns the name Sales Switch Port to GBIC
port 4:
show module=4 name=”Sales Switch Port”
The following command deletes the currently assigned name to GBIC
port 7 without assigning a new name:
show module=7 name=” ”
