For creating a new row in a table, do the following:
1. In your MIB Module, include a table with RowStatus object defined.
2. Define a column in the table with SYNTAX RowStatus.
3. Load the MIB Module in the MibBrowser.
4. Select the table node from the tree and the table button on the toolbar. It displays the corresponding table.
5. Right-click the table header, and then select the add a new row to the table option. This displays a window for entering the
values of the table.
6. Set the value for the column with RowStatus syntax to 4 for creating a new row, and then enter the values.
Note: If the RowStatus is not present in the table definition, then you can only modify the existing row by double-
clicking the corresponding cell in the table.
7. Click OK after entering all the values.
11.7 Trap Viewer
Trap Viewer is used for receiving the traps. Using this you can view the incoming traps to the specified port. The traps can be
sent from any host. The port number and the community name have to be set in the Trap Viewer. The trap originator should
send the trap to the port number specified in the Trap Viewer.
The trap viewer is accessed using the View -> Trap Viewer menu option. This displays in a table format, as shown in the fol-
lowing figure.

The trap viewer components are:
• Trap Table, in which the incoming traps are listed.
• A Port text field to specify the port on which the viewer will listen.
• A Community text field to specify the community of the incoming traps.
• A TrapList combo box, which contains the Port and Community list on which the trap has to listen.
• Field to load the Trap Parser file.
