over. Devices in a rack should be installed starting at
the bottom, with the heavier devices near the bottom of
the rack.
If you are installing the switch on a table, verify that the
table is level and secure.
The power outlet for the switch should be located near
the unit and should be easily accessible.
The site should provide for easy access to the ports on
the front of the switch. This will make it easier for you to
connect and disconnect cables, as well as view the
switch’s LEDs.
Air flow around the unit and through its vents on the
side and rear should not be restricted so that the switch
can maintain adequate cooling.
Do not place objects on top of the switch.
Do not expose the switch to moisture or water.
Ensure that the site is a dust-free environment.
You should use dedicated power circuits or power
conditioners to supply reliable electrical power to the
network devices.
