AT-1700

If a transceiver is installed, care must be taken with the setting

of the heartbeat/SQE switch. Unless the transceiver is installed

on a device that specifically requests that the heartbeat/SQE

switch be ON, this switch should be set to OFF. Failure to set

the heartbeat/SQE switch correctly will result in degradation or

failure of network communication.

Communication Status Indicators

Table 7 shows the functions of the four status indicators located

above the RJ45 receptacle.
