9.5.2 Setting Event Filters
The user can add, modify, or delete an Event Filter from the left side of the form. Refer to the following table for all options.

Filter Name Name of the filter. This field matches the filter chosen in the Configured Filter List.

The criteria for the event are as follows:
• Severity - Specifies the match criteria based on the severity of the event (Critical,
Major, etc.).
• Message - The message specified in this field will be matched with the message of the
incoming event (Interface failure, Status Poll failed, etc.).
• Category - This is a property of the event object which could hold a category name to
which the event belongs. This is used for better organization of events.
• Domain - This is a property of the event object which could hold any domain-specific
information. The information may either be based upon the physical location or the
functional / logical categorization of the source of the event. The domain name of the
event can be specified to display events of a particular domain.
• Network - Holds the information about the network to which the source of the event
belongs. Using this criteria, events belonging to a particular network can be displayed.
• Node - Holds any additional information about the source of the event. Event filters
can be specified for events that have the name of the node as specified in this field.
• Entity - Stores information about the exact device in which the problem has occurred.
• Source - Holds the information about the source of the event. Events matching a
source can be filtered out using this field.
