7 RMON
The RMON (Remote network MONitoring) facility collects management information from
remote monitoring agents. Monitoring agents are implemented as dedicated hardware
devices or are built into networking devices like switches.
With Device Manager, you can view management information retrieved from built-in
RMON agents on the Allied Telesis switches that support RMON. You can also configure
RMON agents to selectively collect information or set thresholds on variables to monitor
their value.
Note - The RMON menu is displayed only if the target device supports the RMON MIB.
Note - Device Manager supports the following RMON groups only: Statistics, History,
Alarm and Event.
