4.4 Inline Table Editing
Inline table editing is available for both QoS-based and CoS-based devices. It makes it
relatively easy to manipulate table data directly on-screen without having to use a Submit
button or to go into some kind of 'edit' mode. For QoS-based devices, inline table editing is
used to configure table fields in the Add and Modify operations as well as in the Ports and
Scheduling tabs. For CoS-based devices, inline table editing is used to configure table fields
in all tabs.
Inline table editing is similar to the process of configuring a field as described in the Add
operation. Refer to Section 4.1 - Add
.
Note - When modifying a field that contains a non-blank value to blank, the following rules
are observed:
• If "none" is a valid value, field will be set to "none".
• If "any" is a valid value, field will be set to "any".
• If neither "none" nor "any" is valid, field will be set to the last accepted value for that
field.
