5.6.1.1 Configuring DHCP on your network card
To configure DHCP on a network card for a Windows PC, follow the steps below:
1. Click the Start menu.
2. Click Settings -> Control panel.
3. Double-click the Network icon in the Control Panel window.
4. In the Configuration tab of the Network window, select the TCP/IP component of
your Network Interface Card (NIC) from the list.
5. Click on Properties. The TCP/IP Properties window appears.
Make sure that the Obtain IP address automatically button is selected. This will ensure that
your PC will get it’s IP address from your ISP via DHCP.
