7.3.11 Other operations

Changing data in word device and turning on/off a bit device can be performed by

double-clicking the device number on the screen while monitoring.

(1) Word device

The following shows the operation for changing a word device.

(Only when the display form is 16 bit.)

1. Double-click the number of the word device to be changed.

2. As the dialog box shown below is displayed, set any desirable value.

Then, click the Execute

button.

3. Select Yes in the dialog box shown below if the change is acceptable. Select

to cancel it.

• Configure the interlock circuit over the sequence program so that the entire system

works safely at all times for data change control to the PLC in operation.

Also, decide on corrective actions for an event of data communication error between

the PC and PLC CPU in use.
