Network Settings
7.1 Conguring General Settings
Network settings must be properly congured before you connect the DVR to cameras on network, or access it remotely. By default,
the DVR will use DHCP (Dynamic Host Conguration Processor) to acquire network settings from the network’s Domain Name
Server (DNS). Since with DHCP, the IPV4 (IP address) of the DVR can change, it is preferable to use a xed IP address for easy access
through your local network.
1. Open the Network General settings menu. Go to Menu | Conguration | Network | General
2. In the General Settings menu, select or enter the following parameters: NIC Type, IPv4 Address, IPv4 Subnet Mask, IPv4
Gateway, MTU and DNS Server. If the DHCP server is available, you can check the Enable DHCP box to automatically obtain an IP
address and other network settings from the network DNS server. NOTE: The valid MTU range is 500 .. 1500.
3. If you prefer, you can usually convert the address information acquired from DNS to a xed IP address by unchecking the
“Enable DHCP“ checkbox.
4. Click Apply to save your settings.
