General information General information Reading and storing the user manual This user manual accompanies this 20 V Li-Ion cordless impact driver brushless (referred to below only as the ‘product’). It contains important information on safety, usage and care. Before using the product, read the user manual carefully. Pay particular attention to the safety notes and warnings. Failure to comply with the instructions in this user manual may result in severe injury or damage to the product.
Explanation of symbols Residual risks Despite proper use, inconspicuous residual risks cannot be completely ruled out. The following risks may arise due to the design of the product: • Injury caused by touching rotating parts; • Crushing or other injury through improper use; • The bit or workpiece breaking. Safety c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock. d) Do not use the cord for improper purposes such as for carrying the power tool, for hanging it up or for pulling or unplugging it from the socket. Product description Product description The product is an impact driver 1 for screwing in or unscrewing screws. The screw bits 3 supplied can be clamped in the tool holder 13 for this purpose. The screw bit is locked into the tool holder by the locking sleeve 6 . The product has an on/off switch 12 , a direction switch 8 to set the direction of rotation, and an LED work light 11 for working in low light conditions. The product is powered by a separately available rechargeable battery 14 .

Checking the product and package contents 1. Lift the product out of the packaging with both hands. 2. Place the product on a level, stable base, such as a workbench. 3.
Use Inserting a screw bit Proceed as follows to clamp bits in place: 1. Make sure that the product is not operational. 2 8 12 2. Lock the On/Off switch 12 by moving the direction switch 8 to the middle position (see Fig. 2). 3 3 13 6 3. Pull the locking sleeve 6 forward (see Fig. 3). 4. Insert the screw bit 3 all the way into the tool holder 13 . 5. Let go of the locking sleeve to secure the screw bit in place.
Use 4 3 13 6 6. To remove the inserted screw bit 3 , pull the locking sleeve 6 forward and pull the screw bit out of the tool holder 13 (see Fig. 4). As well as the screw bits supplied, you can also use other screw bits or inserts with a ¼" hexagonal profile. Switching the product on and off Switching on 5 12 − Press and hold the on/off switch 12 (see Fig. 5). The LED work light 11 will turn on when the on/off switch is gently pressed all the way down.
Using the battery Switching off − Let go of the on/off switch 12 . Setting the direction of rotation You can use the direction switch to change the direction in which the product rotates. 6 8 − Press the direction switch 8 to the left (see Fig. 6): the product turns anti-clockwise. − Press the direction switch to the right: the product turns clockwise. Using the battery WARNING! Risk of injury! Incorrect use of the rechargeable battery and charger can cause injury.
Using the battery Charging the battery − To charge the battery, follow the instructions in the user manuals for the battery and charger being used. Inserting and removing the battery 7 10 14 14 Rechargeable battery (not included) − To insert the rechargeable battery 14 , slide it into the battery holder 10 until you hear and feel it click into place (see Fig. 7).
Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Problem Possible causes Solution The product does not turn on. The battery does not have enough power. Charge the rechargeable battery 14 . The battery has not been inserted properly. Slide the battery into the battery holder 10 on the product. The battery must lock into place with an audible and noticeable click. The direction switch 8 is in the middle position. Press the direction switch all the way in the desired direction.
Storage NOTICE! Risk of damage! Improper handling of the product can damage the product. − Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as knives, hard scrapers and the like. They could damage the surfaces. Cleaning − Use a soft cloth or brush to clean the housing. − Clean the vents 7 and the area around the tool holder 13 as well. − Remove dust by blowing it out with compressed air.
