Communications
A Communications alert is generated under the following circumstances:
• The bracelet and modem stopped communicating in the middle of a transmission.
• The bracelet and modem have failed to communicate as anticipated.
• The bracelet or modem has not made contact with the network for 24 hours.
During this time, no data is reaching the network.
• The bracelet failed to connect with the modem at the anticipated time for
uploading readings.
• The modem failed to connect with the network at the anticipated time for
uploading readings.
• Communication between the modem and network was lost during the middle of a
call.
Equipment Alerts
Replace Equipment
A Replace Equipment alert is generated under the following circumstances:
• Data indicates an equipment problem that requires immediate replacement. AMS
must examine the equipment to determine the cause of the failure.
Note: Once a problem is detected, replace the bracelet as soon as possible
because alerts are no longer being generated in SCRAM
NET. In other words, the
client is no longer being monitored.
• AMS requires that the bracelet be returned to perform tests to verify an alcohol
detection.
• The bracelet has been scheduled for maintenance and warranty checks.
Equipment Assignment
Equipment Assignment
An Equipment Assignment alert is generated under the following circumstances:
• The modem was unable to download bracelet setup information from the
network.
• A problem occurred during the setup.
• The bracelet failed to start the setup process or to complete it within the time
limit.
The bracelet failed to start the check-in procedure or failed to complete it in the time
allotted.
