c. Unplug the power cord and USB cable from the base station.
4. Give the base station to the client.
Wired SCRAM Base Station
Include the:
Phone cable if analog phone line being used.
MultiConnect AW wireless device and device power cord if
cellular network being used.
Ethernet cable if Internet being used.
Wireless SCRAM Base Station
Give the client a copy of the “Install Wireless SCRAM Base Station
at Monitoring Location” quick sheet. The quick sheet is available
on the SCRAM
NET Help page.
REPLACE SCRAM BASE STATION
BEFORE MEETING CLIENT
Ensure that the wired or wireless SCRAM Base Station is fully charged.
WHEN CLIENT ARRIVES
1. Select a new base station in SCRAMNET.
The status of the new base station is set to Pending Assignment
and the status of the old base station is set to Pending Removal.
Note: If a wireless SCRAM Base Station is being used, the status
of that device is immediately set to Assigned to Client.
2. Log into the Direct Connect application.
Wired SCRAM Base Station Only
a. Open the Direct Connect application.
b. Log into the Direct Connect application using your SCRAM
NET
username and password.
3. Connect the old base station with the Direct Connect application.
Wired SCRAM Base Station Only
a. Plug the power cord into the old base station and into an
electrical outlet.
» Base station display:
Line 1 – DATE/TIME
Line 2 – CHECK PHONE LINE
b. Plug the small (mini-B type) USB connector into the base
station.
At this time:

Idle -> Communicating
