a. Plug the power cord into the new base station and into an
electrical outlet.
b. Plug the small (mini-B type) USB connector into the base
station.
At this time:
» Base station status in the Direct Connect application:
Idle -> Communicating
» Any remaining data is transferred from the base station
to SCRAM
NET.
» The base station software is checked and updated, if
necessary.
When complete:
» Base station status in the Direct Connect application:
Communication Complete
c. Unplug the power cord and USB cable from the base station.
11. Have the client sign the participant agreement.
12. Give the base station to the client.
Wired SCRAM Base Station
Include the:
Phone cable if analog phone line being used.
MultiConnect AW wireless device and device power cord if
cellular network being used.
Ethernet cable if Internet being used.
Wireless SCRAM Base Station
Give the client a copy of the “Install Wireless SCRAM Base Station
at Monitoring Location” quick sheet. The quick sheet is available
on the SCRAM
NET Help page.
ASSIGN SCRAM EQUIPMENT - CAM+HA CLIENT
The following procedure applies to those clients being monitored for
CAM+HA using SCRAM equipment.
BEFORE MEETING CLIENT
Perform the following steps shortly before meeting with the client.
1. If you have the client’s information available, enter that
information into SCRAM
NET using the Add New Client page.
2. Ensure that the wired or wireless SCRAM Wireless Base Station is
fully charged.
3. Install the SCRAM CAM Bracelet components.
WHEN CLIENT ARRIVES
Perform the following steps when the client arrives at the initial
meeting.
1. Determine the communication method.
