I NTRODUCTI ON
This guide contains t he core act ivities t hat you m ight
perform when logging int o SCRAMNET GPS, set t ing up the
sit e, or adding and m anaging an offender who has been
enrolled in the SCRAM Syst em s
®
Program . A Glossary of
Term s and Alert / Event De nit ions are also included for
easy reference.
GLOSSARY OF TERMS
Alerts A generic t erm t hat refers t o events that can
potent ially generate not i cat ions. This t erm is oft en used
int erchangeably with event s.
Events A generic t erm that is used to describe any
bracelet- relat ed occurrence that can be displayed in the
Event Det ails window. Event s can be inform ational, such
and plugs and unplugs, or t hey can represent a critical
incident t hat needs im m ediat e at t ent ion.
Messages Refers to t he act ual dat a t hat is sent by a
bracelet t o the syst em . Messages include a variet y of
inform at ion including locat ion, bat t ery st at us, bracelet
status, and event inform at ion.
Noti cations Not i cat ions are em ails and/ or t ext
m essages that are sent t o recipient s when designated
event s are generat ed.
Onboard Zones vs. Exclusion/ I nclusion Zones
Onboard zones can only be circular. Eight exclusion zones
and two inclusion zones can be est ablished for each
offender.
Violations Violat ions refer to events where the offender
has ent ered or exit ed a zone when a schedule required
him t o be eit her in (inclusion zones) or out ( exclusion
zones) of the zone. Exclusion zones always have a 24/ 7
schedule. Neutral zones autom atically generate alert s, but
have no schedules and t herefore no violat ions.
