CABI 3.3 SP1 Known Anomalies
Consider the following two known issues in CABI 3.3 SP1:
Java 7u51 issue
Symptom:
If the client machine has JDK version 7update 51 or higher, then while running WEBI
reports the following Security exception occurs:
Missing required Permissions manifest attribute in main jar:
http://<cabi sp1 machine>:8080/AnalyticalReporting/webiApplet/ThinCadenza.jar
Solution:
1. Log in to CABI server machine as administrator.
2. Download the CABI_3.3_SP1_LAFix6.0.19_Windows.zip file from
ftp://ftp.ca.com/CAproducts/CABI/CABI-3.x/LAFixes and extract it to a folder.
3. Stop the Tomcat7 server
4. Go to <INSTALLDIR>\Tomcat7\webapps\AnalyticalReporting\webiApplet
5. Back up the following files:
ThinCadenza.jar
ThinCadenza.jar.pack.gz
One or more ThinCadenza_XX.jar, where XX represents the language code like "en"
for English, and "fr" for French.
6. Replace the same set of files from the extracted folder with "RCThinCadenza.jar"
file.
7. Go to <INSTALLDIR>\Tomcat7\work and remove the "Catalina" folder under it.
8. Start the Tomcat7 server.
Note: Similar process applies to non Windows platforms also. Remember that
tomcat location is <INSTALLDIR>/bobje/tomcat7.
9. At the client (end user) machine, follow these steps.
a. Clear the JRE cache using Java Control Panel.
b. Clear the IE browser cache.
