Support for Fault-Tolerant Archive Manager
Chapter 3: Features and Enhancements 19
Support for Fault-Tolerant Archive Manager
With this release of CA Spectrum, you can run the Archive Manager on the secondary
SpectroSERVER host in a fault-tolerant SpectroSERVER environment. This secondary
Archive Manager provides visibility to events in OneClick when the primary Archive
Manager is down.
For more information about the fault-tolerant Archive Manager, see the CA Spectrum
Distributed SpectroSERVER Administrator Guide.
Support for the Latest FIPS 140-2 Encryption Algorithms
With this release of CA Spectrum, AES-256 and SHA-256 encryption algorithms are used
to encrypt passwords for various CA Spectrum components.
For more information about CA Spectrum components that use AES-256 and SHA-256,
see the CA Spectrum Security Policy Statement.
New Option for Bulk MIB Compile Command
This release of CA Spectrum adds the new option "-standard_mibs" for the
"BulkMibCompile.sh" command. If you run the "BulkMibCompile.sh" command with this
option, the imported MIBs are treated as Standard MIBs and cannot be deleted from
MIB Tools database. Otherwise, the imported MIBs are treated as custom MIBs and you
can delete them.
For more information, see CA Spectrum Certification User Guide.
