3.1 Telephony Services – One Number Services - Messaging

Services Major Limitations and restrictions

1) Backup

The old Backup files are not compatible with UC 5.1.000.586.

It’s mandatory to use the backup tool delivered with this version on

DVD\Servers\Serviceability\Backup_Application

2) WebSsoftPhone :

Problem on multi server config if configuring security trusted sites

On Internet Explorer, you must add the Middleware server in "Trusted sites"

3) Scalability.

Limitation to 5000 users for Telephony and One Number services.

Scalability to 10 000 users for Telephony services and One Number is not available in the

actual release.

4) Tandem

Tandem is not a feature fully supported by Telephony services application.

5) Authentication

NTLM version 2 is not supported.

6) DNS name(s) must be used when installing Alcatel-Lucent OmniTouch UC server(s). In

this case Alcatel-Lucent OmniTouch UC server(s) IP addresses can be changed if

necessary.

7)Citrix

My Instant Communicator, Teamwork service and PCmultimedia (PCMM2) are not

supported on Citrix.

8) Abbreviated .Numbers by Range

Not supported by OmniTouch UC

9)PDA

Landscape format for PDA interface (through SmartPRS) is NOT supported

10) Localization

TTS quality issues with Cantoneese TUI
