an update mode.

2.3.5.5 Procedure example

Procedure to be used for a R4.1.000.03x -> R5.1.000.586 migration:

• Install R5 backup/restore application from the R5 DVD-ROM on the R4.1 servers

• Backup the R4.1 databases with this application

• Save the backup archives on another server (storage server)

• Install the R5 software

from scratch on a fresh RHEL 4 Update 8 Linux with the boot CD

• Reboot

• postInstall.sh

Note: the postinstall.sh script can be found in directory:

/Servers/Complements/Scripts/Linux/postInstall.sh

• Copy the backup archive from the storage server to the newly installed server

• Restore the backup archive

• Install the new 5.0 license file
