¾ System enhancements

o Support of RedHat ES 4.0 Update 6 is now supported on Alcatel-Lucent

OmniTouch UC, in addition to Update 4 and 5.

Note concerning Update 4:

If the servers used are equipped with Broadcom 5703X NIC interfaces Ex: ML

370 G3), eth0 interface may stay alternatively down & up

at each server reboot.

This problem occurs with RedHat Kernel 2.6.9-42 that is distributed with Update

To fix this issue a kernel patch, 2.6.9-42.0.10 or greater, must be applied on top

of update 4

The corresponding “rpm” can be downloaded from RedHat and installed with the

command rpm –ivh.

The issue is solved with Update 5.

o Ability to order the Linux Red Hat distributions (operating system and clustering

suite) without ordering server platforms from Alcatel-Lucent
