Connect the battery charger to your phone and mains socket respectively. • Charging may take about 20 minutes to start if the battery is flat. • Be careful not to force the plug into the socket. • Make sure the battery is correctly inserted before connecting the charger. 1.3 Power off your phone Hold down the key until the telephone powers off. 1.4 Using the touchscreen Touch • The mains socket must be near to the phone and easily accessible (avoid electric extension cables).

2.2 Home screen 2.2.1 Status bar icons (1) You can bring all the items (shortcuts and widgets) you love or use most frequently to your Home screen for quick access. Battery charge level Vibrate alert: your phone vibrates, but does not ring or beep with the exception of the alarm (see page 66). Status bar Silence mode: your phone does not ring, beep or vibrate with the exception of the alarm (see page 67). Widgets Flight mode. Bluetooth status (Activated).

6 Email ............................... New email service To set up a new email account other than the predefined email services, touch and then "Other Email accounts". Your phone has an email client with the settings predefined for a few popular email services like – GoogleMail, Yahoo, AOL, etc. Besides this, you can set up other POP3 or IMAP4 email accounts that you may be using.
6.8 Available options Signature To attach your signature when sending emails. Check interval To check for new emails at a pre-set interval. Edit account To edit the detailed configuration information of the selected account. Delete account Online/Offline To delete the current selected account. 7.4 Add service Various services (Yahoo, GTalk, ICQ etc.) can be added by "Menu\Add Service". 7.5 Chat 8 Contacts ......................... 8.1 Consulting your contacts To start a chat, select one online contact, then touch "Private chat". To access the Contacts, touch and select "Contacts". During chat, you can also exchange voice or photo messages with your community. The whole contact list is categorized by all contacts and SIM contacts . 7.

13 Camera ..................... 13.2.2 Settings in framing mode Before taking the photo, you can adjust a number of settings by touching . Your mobile phone is fitted with a camera for taking photos and shooting videos that you can use in different ways: Image size Timer Color mode • store them in your "File manager\My creations". 13.3.2 Recording mode Once you have chosen your settings, you can launch the recording of your video-clip by touching on the screen. Save the video by touching . If a call comes in while you are recording, the recording process will be automatically stopped and you will be prompted after the call if you want to save the recorded clip. 14 Profiles ....................... With this menu, you may personalise ringtones for different events and environments. 14.1 General 13.3.
14.2 Meeting When this is selected the phone will not ring or beep unless an alarm has been set. A new event will cause it to vibrate. 15 File manager .............. 14.3 Outdoor You will have access to all audio and visual files stored in phone or SD card in File manager. It is a profile designed for outdoor users who require louder ringtones. Two icons behind will indicate the saving locations of each file: Saved in phone 14.
15.2 My images 15.8 SD card You can select an image or a photo as wallpaper, power on/off screen, or assign it as incoming call image in the contacts. You can access all files stored in the SD card here. When a SD card is inserted for the first time, it will be scanned and default folders will be created. The images will be displayed in alphabetical order. Inserting and removing the SD card: 15.3 My videos "My videos" album contains video clips recorded, received or downloaded 15.

19.3 Phone settings Backlight 19.3.1 Display Screen Wallpaper The wallpaper is displayed when you switch on your telephone. Allows you to reduce brightness for enhanced battery performance and to save power during periods of expected inactivity. 19.3.2 Profiles See page 66. 19.3.8 Auto lock Wallpaper shake Your touchscreen will be locked automatically if the phone has been idle for a certain length of time set by you or you may lock it manually with a short press key. Shake the phone heavily leftward or rightward, Wallpaper will switch to the next or previous image respectively. 19.4 Call settings Unlock the screen You may drag down on the locked screen.
