8 When the script execution is complete, enter the following to reboot the database
station:
# init 6 ↵
The station reboots, and the extra RAM is available to the 5620 SAM database.
Procedure 15-3 To reconfigure a 5620 SAM auxiliary server
Perform this procedure to update the auxiliary server configuration after a change in
the available platform resources.
1 Log in as the samadmin user on the auxiliary server station.
2 Open a console window.
Caution — This procedure requires a restart of the auxiliary server,
which is service-affecting. You must perform the procedure only during
a scheduled maintenance period.
Note — You require root and samadmin user privileges on the auxiliary
server station to perform this procedure.
