Procedure 7-12 To create an auxiliary database cluster snapshot
Perform this procedure to manually create a snapshot of one or all auxiliary database
cluster members. A snapshot enables the recovery of data in the event of a failure.
1 Choose AdministrationDatabase from the 5620 SAM main menu. The Database
Manager (Edit) form opens.
2 Click on the Auxiliary Database Data Centers tab.
3 To create a snapshot of all member databases in the cluster, select a data center,
click Snapshot All Databases, and then click OK in the dialog boxes that appear.
4 To create a snapshot of one member database in a cluster:
i Select a data center and click Properties. The Auxiliary Database Data Center
(Edit) form opens.
ii Click on the Auxiliary Databases tab. The auxiliary database cluster members
are listed.
iii Select a cluster member and click Properties. The Auxiliary Database (View)
form opens.
iv Click on the Snapshots tab.
v Click Snapshot Database, and then click OK in the dialog boxes that appear.
5 Close the open forms.
Procedure 7-13 To delete an auxiliary database snapshot set
Perform this procedure to delete an auxiliary database snapshot set. A snapshot set
contains a snapshot of each member database in a cluster.
1 Choose AdministrationDatabase from the 5620 SAM main menu. The Database
Manager form opens.
2 Click on the Auxiliary Database Data Centers tab.
3 Select a data center and click Properties. The Auxiliary Database Data Center
(Edit) form opens.
4 Click on the Auxiliary Databases tab. The auxiliary database cluster members are
listed.
5 Select a cluster member and click Properties. The Auxiliary Database (View) form
opens.
6 Click on the Snapshots tab.
7 Select a snapshot and click Properties. The Snapshot History (View) form opens.
