d Enable LSP on-demand resynchronization to disable scheduled
resynchronization for some LSP objects; see Procedure 5-19.
e Reload the debug configuration file after an NE restarts to ensure mirror
services in a managed network resume operation after a reboot or a CPM
activity switch; see Procedure 5-20.
f Configure throttle rates for residential subscriber create and delete event
traps on the 7750 SR; see Procedure 5-21.
g Configure the windowing trap delayer option to provide an enhanced method
to resync the subscriber table in the event of a trap drop from an NE; see
Procedure 5-22.
h Create a default SNMPv2 OmniSwitch user on a 5620 SAM system; see

4 As required, customize the 5620 SAM system-wide alarm settings to meet your
specific operational requirements. These changes affect all users. For example,
you can change the following alarm settings:
• Enable or disable alarm severity and alarm deletion settings and customize
their default values.
• Configure when alarms are logged to the alarm history database.
• Configure a policy to clear an alarm that is not implicitly cleared.
See “Alarm management” in the 5620 SAM User Guide for information about the
full complement of system-wide alarm settings that can be customized.
5 As required, customize or change the 5620 SAM system preferences default values
to meet your operational requirements; see Procedure 5-24.
5.5 Software and license configuration procedures
The following procedures describe how to view and modify the 5620 SAM software
and license configuration.
Procedure 5-1 To view the 5620 SAM release, license, and installed
module information
1 To view only the GUI client information:
i Choose Help→About 5620 SAM/5650 CPAM from the 5620 SAM main menu.
The About the 5620 SAM/5650 CPAM Client Application form opens. The form
displays the client release and patch level, and displays a padlock icon if the
client communication is SSL-encrypted.
ii Close the form.
Note — The 5620 SAM release information is also displayed on the form
described in step 2.
