Three variants of Alcatel's Speed TouchPro with Firewall DSL
routers exist:
 Two Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) variants:
 A ADSL/POTS variant connecting to an analog POTS(*)
line
 A ADSL/ISDN variant connecting to a digital ISDN(**) line
 One Singlepair High Speed Digital Subscriber Line (SHDSL)
variant:
 The SHDSL variant connecting to a dedicated SHDSL
twowire line.
(*) Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS)
(**) Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)
For readability, the Alcatel Speed TouchPro with Firewall will
be referred to as STPro in this User's Guide.
Prior to connecting the Alcatel Speed TouchPro with Firewall,
read the Safety Instructions in appendix D.
