You can navigate the prompts backwards and forwards, and can edit any of
your entries before saving this new configuration. To erase all your answers
and start over, press ctrl-X. If you need help for a prompt, display help for that
topic by pressing ctrl-I.
Setup Dialog Prompt Description
Enter system name [Alcatel_4324]: Assign a name to your switch. The
example shows the default name
for an Alcatel 4324 Wireless LAN
Switch.
Enter VLAN 1 interface IP address
[172.16.0.254]
10.200.14.6 (see Figure 1).
Enter VLAN 1 interface subnet mask
[255.255.255.0]:
Enter the subnet mask for VLAN 1
interface, or press
Return to accept
the default.
Enter IP Default gateway [none]: 10.200.14.1 (see
Figure 1).
Enter Switch Role, (master|local) [mas-
ter]:
If you have one switch on your
network, select master (the
default). If you have more than one
switch on your LAN, you need to
decided which switch is the mas-
ter. Once decided, all the other
switches are configured as local
switches. There can only be one
master switch per LAN. For more
explanation, press
ctrl-I for help
If you select local:
