Upgradable Firmware

The supervisor card firmware can be easily upgraded as future software

releases are made available. Upgrades can be installed locally using the built-in

PCMCIA drive or console or management port, or remotely using TFTP. See the

Alcatel AOS-W User’s Guide for details.

Module Fastening Screws

These captive screws are used for securing the module into its slot in the

switch chassis.

Module Handle

This handle is used for removing or inserting the module into the switch

chassis.
