How do I manage my personal firewall?
The personal firewall that resides in your OmniAccess 3500 NLG card may prevent
some applications in the laptop from opening network connections. However, a setting
in your personal firewall policy may allow you to override the default decision of the
personal firewall.
ALLOWING AN APPLICATION THROUGH THE FIREWALL
If your personal firewall policy allows you to override its default settings regarding the
treatment of certain applications, an OmniAccess 3500 NLG Application Filter window
pops up on the laptop screen every time the personal firewall detects an attempt to
open a network connection by one of your applications. The window offers you the
option to allow (click Yes) or deny (click No) the network connection.
