In the above figure an MDIX port on the hub connects to the
AST350i. Therefore, a crossover LAN cable is used.
Note: In case the hub's uplink" port is used to wire the AST350i you can use
the included straightthrough LAN cable.
Cascading Repeating Hubs
You may cascade up to four repeating hubs in your LAN
(limitations of Repeating Ethernet V2.0/IEEE802.3 hubs). In case
more hubs need to be cascaded, you must use switching hubs.
10BaseT Half Duplex Interfacing
Make sure the 10BaseT port(s) of your PC(s) are configured for
either Auto Negotiation or Half Duplex.
Never configure the 10BaseT Ports for FullDuplex !
