(3) High availability network by a dual ring (application combined with GSRP)
You can use two rings to build a higher availability system that has a dual backbone network.
You can use the Layer 3 redundancy switching functionality of GSRP by configuring distribution layers
(networks on each floor in the figure below) with GSRP and using different VLANs for the rings and GSRP
segments to operate them independently. This allows you to easily configure default gateways on each floor.
The following figure shows an example of this configuration.

This configuration has the following features:
- An L3 routing protocol such as OSPF is used on the backbone networks.
- Each ring has only one GSRP device, so you do not have to configure a virtual link on each ring.
